Imagination Heals Helps Children in Hospitals across the United States

An addiction treatment center in Manistee, Michigan, Best Drug Rehabilitation has remained firmly dedicated to community service and charitable giving. Through its sister company, A Forever Recovery, Best Drug Rehabilitation cosponsored the launch of Imagination Heals, which helps boost morale in children’s hospitals through music and storytelling.

Creative expression has been shown to be an effective way of alleviating depression, anxiety, and chronic pain, with which many children struggle while undergoing extended treatment. The Imagination Heals program teaches children about the power of creative expression, the beauty of nature, and the importance of the imagination. Children have the opportunity to tell stories within the context of Pacha’s Pajamas, a popular children’s story and musical performance. In addition to developing performance skills such as singing, storytelling, improvisation, dancing, rapping, and beat boxing, children can participate in flash mobs and meet heroic people who come to visit them.
